Trust me, this is different!

Firstly, I'm going to introduce myself and then I'm going to talk about why I decided to create a website in the middle of a world-wide pandemic.

My name is Becca, I was born and raised in the UK and I share my home with my boyfriend and our two dogs, Billie and Spookie. I grew up listening to 2000's pop punk, drooling over gothic fashion and going as a witch for Halloween every single year.

I've been lucky enough to purchase my first home and whilst shopping and searching for home inspiration on Instagram and Pinterest I was faced with a real lack of alternative homeware, hence I decided people needed somewhere to go for exactly that. Alternate-Life was born.

Whilst I'm starting this primarily as inspiration for alternative home decor, I want this to be a safe space for anyone different to come for inspiration and meet like minded people from all over the world.
